Overview

Archer Western Construction -Snell JV, a member of The Walsh Group is currently seeking a Traffic Control Specialist for the Atlanta Region, GDOT I-285 / I-20 East Interchange Project, in Decatur GA.

 

The Traffic Control Specialist is responsible for various traffic control duties on construction projects; tasked with properly directly live traffic in and around active construction zones for protection and safety of public and employees.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Control flow of traffic around construction jobsite
  • Oversees proper erection, placement, and removal of traffic control materials
  • Maintain traffic control supplies as needed
  • May be required to ensure that flag persons are properly trained for duty

Qualifications

  • 3-5 Years Verifiable Experience Preferred
  • Certification in Work Zone Traffic Control may be required
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn.
  • Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
