Overview

Archer Western Construction, LLC-Snell JV, a member of The Walsh Group is currently seeking an Ironworker Reinforcing/Structural for the Atlanta Region, GDOT I-285 / I-20 East Interchange DBF Project, in Decatur GA.

 

The Ironworker will raise, place, install, and erect all structural steel beams, columns, and joints to form completed structures and structural frameworks; place and secure rebar in concrete.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Sets and installs structural steel girders, beams, columns, and other objects to complete forms for buildings, towers, bridges, and other structures
  • Performs all work related to signaling, rigging, bolting, and/or welding of structural steel
  • Completes tasks related to the loading and unloading of steel rebar at the site of work 

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of verifiable experience in working with structural steel/rebar
  • Adequate knowledge of lengths and construction measurements for use of tools and machinery
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions
  • Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly
  • Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn
  • Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
